Astrology for plants
The English physician, astrologer and botanist Nicholas Culpeper (1616-1654) studied plants in relation to astrology and believed that diseases could be treated with plants corresponding to the opposite planet.
Green Wing has created products that bring the presence of nature into every room and into your beauty routine. You're in the right place - this is where the most natural face and body care products are made.
I am the creator and product developer of Green Wing Paleo Skincare. I have a Master's degree in Chemistry and work experience in large Latvian pharmaceutical, food and cosmetics companies.
An inner protest against the marketing and consumption-driven production industry has increasingly led me to look for alternative solutions and to follow my own path - to listen more to myself, to my heart and to live in harmony with nature. So I traded my salaried job for my heart's calling - to translate the wealth of medicinal plants I have learnt about and their health-promoting effects on people into rich cosmetic products.
These products contain ancient knowledge from the beginning of humanity - the Paleolithic period of the Stone Age. From a time when conversations with nature spirits and plant essences were a daily occurrence, when the collection and use of herbs was commonplace and the importance of herbal healing was never questioned. We know that every plant has its own character and soul. When we interact with it in any way - smelling, tasting, smudging - our genetic memory remembers its origins, activates our ability to regenerate, responds more resiliently to stressful situations and is able to connect more easily with the subconscious. Hear yourself through nature!
21st century man is exposed to the harmful effects of the environment, unhealthy diets and stress that bring toxins and chemicals into our bodies every day. That's why each of us deserves natural skin care, without worrying about the composition of products and relying on nature's healing touch. Green Wing concentrates the best of Latvian nature - every bottle has the scent of a meadow in bloom, the rustle of the forest and the warmth of the sun. Like a green wing, Green Wing brings freedom, primordiality and respect for all living things. Open up to your senses and to a natural experience with Green Wing cosmetics!

According to the lunar calendar, the above-ground parts of the plant are best harvested in the waxing month, and everything below ground in the waning month, because by the full moon the energy flow in the plant is moving upwards, towards the top of the plant, and all the power and goodness of the plant is in the leaves.

How to Determine My Skin Type and Care for It Correctly?
Did you know that your skin’s needs change depending on its type? Understanding your skin condition is the first and most important step towards an effective and suitable skincare routine. Let's look at the most common skin types and how best to care for them. Each skin type has characteristic features that help determine the right care strategy. 1. Dry Skin A) Signs: The skin feels tight after cleansing, and it has low sebum production. Small cracks and redness may appear. B) Care: The priority is moisture and fats (lipids). Choose rich and deeply moisturizing care products. The best choice for dry skin care will be Green Wing facial oils which contain medicinal herbs and natural oils. Choose from 3 options – with algae, with apple extract, or with chamomile and rosehip. Avoid: Products that contain too much alcohol (e.g., various facial toners), as alcohol dries out the skin even further. Check the ingredient list before you buy. 2. Normal Skin A) Signs: The skin is resilient, fine-pored, firm, and relatively insensitive. The moisture balance is in harmony. B) Care: Light creams and a moderate lipid (fat) content are sufficient to maintain balance. Normal skin definitely does not need to be overdone with excessive care, so refreshing with floral waters daily will already be 90% of the routine – freshness and care at once. C) Avoid: Synthetic and aggressive ingredients that can harm the skin in the long term. 3. Combination Skin A) Signs: In some areas (e.g., the T-zone – nose, forehead, chin), the skin is oily and shiny, with larger, open pores and blackheads, while in other areas (cheeks), it may be dry or normal. B) Care: Care products with more moisture and a light lipid content are recommended. Different areas of the face may require a different approach. Definitely try Green Wing facial serums, which are applied as a moisturizing base layer or as the only care product. Observe your skin balancing after a month of use. C) Avoid: Heavy, dense creams; opt for light serums and allow the skin to breathe. 4. Sensitive Skin A) Signs: May manifest as redness, itching, burning, and dryness. Often reacts to specific care products. B) Care: It is important to identify and avoid irritants (triggers/allergens). Choose gentle, non-allergenic, and soothing products. We have developed several allergen-free products for sensitive skin – choose the Apple & Hydro line or the new hibiscus line which is completely fragrance-free. C) Avoid: Synthetic and aggressive ingredients; do not choose products with known allergens. Research the product's ingredient list before buying, aiming for "allergen-free," "for sensitive skin," or similar indications. 5. Mature Skin A) Signs: The skin’s needs change; it requires support for cell renewal and collagen production. Good hydration and the stimulation of natural defense mechanisms are necessary. B) Care: Focus on care products that fight aging, promote natural renewal, and provide intense hydration. The DEEP SEA product line with algae extract was created specifically for this type of skin – check out the products in our store. C) Avoid: Synthetic and aggressive ingredients, "low-end" products that contain very few anti-aging active ingredients. Remember that the skin's condition can change depending on the environment, age, season, and hormonal fluctuations. Pay attention to how your skin feels immediately after cleansing – this often provides the most accurate indication of your current skin condition and skin type overall.

Medicinal plants in ancient times
The Stone Age began about 2.6 million years ago, when the first humans started making tools. The first evidence of medicinal plants also dates back to the Stone Age: common yarrow, blue shoe, common duckweed, caraway, coltsfoot, meadowsweet, cress, purslane and many others were used medicinally during the Neolithic (New Stone Age). Some of the edible plants used in the Neolithic period also had medicinal properties, such as lake nuts, yellow lentil root, nettles, marigolds and horsetail.

Prepare Your Skin for the Colder Months wih Chamomile Products
Golden leaves, crisp air, and cozy sweaters – autumn is here in all its glory! But while we enjoy nature's transformation, our skin begins to face its first challenges: wind, fluctuating temperatures, and drier indoor air. This is the perfect moment to revisit your skincare ritual and give your skin some special support. And what could be a better ally than the humble miracle from our own meadows – chamomile? For many, chamomile is associated with a soothing cup of tea before bed, but its golden flowers hold a true power that can calm, protect, and restore the skin, making it the perfect companion for the autumn and winter seasons. Why is chamomile so beneficial for the skin? A Natural Calm for Your Skin: Chamomile's best-known quality is its ability to soothe. It contains active compounds, such as bisabolol, that effectively reduce redness and irritation caused by the sharp autumn wind. It is like a gentle embrace for sensitive and tired skin. Hydration and Protection: In colder weather, the skin loses moisture more quickly. Chamomile helps to strengthen the skin's natural protective barrier, helping it to retain much-needed moisture and protecting it from environmental stress. Gentle Renewal: Rich in antioxidants, chamomile helps protect the skin from free radical damage and promotes its natural renewal process, giving it a healthy and fresh appearance. How to Include Chamomile in Your Autumn Skincare Ritual? Preparing your skin for winter with the help of chamomile is surprisingly simple and requires just two steps: Tone and Hydrate with Chamomile Floral Water: After cleansing your face, generously spritz pure chamomile floral water onto your skin. This refreshing mist will not only instantly soothe the skin and restore its pH balance but will also prepare it for the next, nourishing step. Nourish and Protect with a Face Oil: While the skin is still slightly damp from the floral water, massage in a few drops of face oil with chamomile extract. The floral water will help the oil to absorb more deeply, locking moisture into the skin and creating an invisible protective layer that will shield it from the cold and wind throughout the day. Let nature take care of your skin during this changing season. Prepare for winter with a warm cup of tea in hand and the gentle, golden touch of chamomile on your face.
