How can I determine face skin type?

Kā noteikt sejas ādas tipu?

Skin is divided into 4 types: normal, dry, oily and combination, so cosmetic products are designed for specific skin types. But when I work with people, I see that very often ladies don't know their skin type, especially younger girls. So there is a possibility of choosing the wrong products and not getting the desired results.

Fortunately, with natural cosmetics, it is less likely to go wrong, because plants soothe and heal all skin types.

To determine your skin type, stand in front of a mirror in a well-lit area and examine your complexion. Using a tissue, touch your skin in different places (nose, forehead, chin, cheeks, temples). Oily skin leaves an impression on the tissue. You can also use a clean mirror or glass. If an oily impression appears on its surface, this means that the skin on the face is oily. Also assess the health of the facial skin (redness, acne, enlarged pores, pimples, scars).

 Normal skin

Your skin looks good - supple, healthy and fresh. Wrinkles are few and almost invisible. Pores are normal and inconspicuous. The skin is evenly and beautifully tanned. The skin regulates its own oil and moisture levels. Unfortunately, this skin type is found in a small number of people - about 5%.

Dry skin

The skin is dry, thin and almost transparent in places. If the wrong cream is used, it cracks. Wrinkles are numerous and quite pronounced. The facial pores are very small, almost invisible. After washing the face, there is often discomfort, the skin feels clammy, dry and draggy. The skin quickly becomes sensitive, red and clammy when sunbathing. Such skin is too sensitive, more often inflamed.

Oily skin

The skin is firm, shiny, with acne and rashes, sometimes even on the back and chest area. There are hardly any wrinkles. The pores are large, in some places even too large. After washing, the skin is elastic and not tight. The tan is quick and thorough.

Combination

The forehead, nose, chin or so-called T-zone usually have oily skin, while the lips, cheeks and bottom are dry or normal. Sometimes the rash is on the forehead, chin or nose. Only the mimic wrinkles on the forehead, around the eyes and nose are visible. After washing, there are always unpleasant sensations: the skin is painful, dry, tight. Some areas turn pink when sunbathing. The most common skin type.

It is advisable to have a skin type test every few years, as skin changes with age, diet, the seasons and menopause. For example, older ladies rarely have oily skin, while menopausal skin can become very dry. Food and lifestyle also affect the complexion: if you are careful about what and when you eat and exercise, skin problems should be significantly reduced.
