How to make a facial scrub at home?

Kā pagatavot sejas skrubi mājās?

Natural face scrubs can be easily made at home using a variety of ingredients often found in the kitchen or bought at the home store. Here are some popular and effective recipes:

1. Sugar and honey scrub:

- 1 tablespoon sugar (both white and brown sugar can be used);

- 1 tablespoon natural honey

Please note that this scrub can be quite harsh, so it should only be used once a week or less. The sugar acts as an exfoliant, removing dead skin cells, while the honey moisturises and nourishes the skin.

2. Raspberry Berry Scrub:

- 2 tablespoons raspberries (mashed or blended);

- 1 tablespoon natural yoghurt or honey

The raspberries act as a mild exfoliant, while the yoghurt or honey moisturises the skin. This scrub is suitable for sensitive skin.

3. Coffee scrub:

- 2 tablespoons of ground coffee (you can use used coffee from the coffee machine);

- 1-2 tablespoons of natural honey or olive oil

The coffee scrub is excellent against cellulite and is suitable for body care. It removes dead skin cells and evens skin tone.

Directions for use for all these scrubs:

- Wash your face with water before using the scrub.

- Apply the scrub to damp skin and massage gently, avoiding sensitive eye areas.

- Leave the scrub on the skin for a few minutes to allow the skin to absorb its benefits.

- Rinse with warm water and then apply moisturiser or face cream.

Remember that the frequency of facial scrubs depends on your skin type. Generally, you can use it 1-2 times a week, but for sensitive skin it may be less often. If irritation or other undesirable reactions occur, stop using that particular scrub.
